Easy Spaghetti And Meatballs - cooking recipe

1 tbsp olive oil
1 None onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
2 1/2 cups tomato puree
1/3 cup red wine
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
2 tsp brown sugar
18 oz ground pork
2 slices bread, torn
2 oz grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra to serve
2 slices bacon, roughly chopped
2 tbsp fresh oregano or rosemary leaves, roughly chopped
1 tbsp capers
1 tsp fennel seeds
1/2 None lemon, zested
18 oz cooked spaghetti
Preparation

In a large, deep frying pan, heat oil over high heat. Saute onion for 2-3 mins, until tender. Transfer 1/2 the onion to a food processor.
Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and saute for 1 min. Stir in tomato puree, 1/2 cup water, wine, vinegar and sugar. Simmer for 4-5 mins. Season to taste.
Meanwhile, add ground pork, bread, cheese, bacon, oregano, capers, fennel seeds and lemon zest to food processor. Process until combined. Season to taste. Using wet hands, roll into walnut-size meatballs.
Add meatballs to simmering sauce and cook for 8-10 mins, until cooked through and sauce thickens. Serve over hot spaghetti with extra Parmesan.
