Pear And Almond Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 None pears, peeled, cored, each cut into eight slices
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 1/2 cups ground almonds
1/2 cup self-raising flour
4 None eggs
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
12 tbsp (1 1/2 sticks) butter, melted and cooled
None None Powdered sugar, for dusting
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Lightly grease and line bottom of a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
Arrange pear slices evenly in bottom of pan. Drizzle with maple syrup. Set aside.
Combine ground almonds and flour in a large bowl. Whisk eggs, brown sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl. Mix in butter. Add to almond mixture and lightly fold together. Pour over pears in pan.
Bake 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 mins. Invert onto wire rack; cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar.
