Pork Chops With Sautéed Apples And Thyme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 (1 inch thick) pork chops
    1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    2 tbsp fresh thyme sprigs
    2 tbsp unsalted butter
    2 None Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, cut into 1/4 inch thick slices
    None None mashed potatoes, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Brush chops with oil and season to taste.
    Heat a large Dutch oven over high heat. Sear pork chops for 2-3 mins per side, until golden brown. Sprinkle with thyme then transfer to oven to roast for 5-8 min, or until pork is cooked through. Transfer to a warm plate and cover loosely with foil to rest.
    Meanwhile, add butter to Dutch oven and melt over medium heat. Cook apples for 2 mins per side, or until golden brown. Serve with chops and mashed potatoes.
