Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 cups self-rising flour
    2 1/2 tbsp butter, chopped
    1/2 cup milk, 1 tbsp reserved
    None None jam, to serve
    None None heavy cream, to serve
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Lightly grease a baking tray.
    Sift flour into a large bowl. Cut in butter. Add milk and 1/2 cup water. Mix quickly into a soft, sticky dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly. Press into a 3/4 inch thick disc and cut into 2 inch discs. Place on prepared tray, brush with reserved milk and bake for 12-15 mins.
    Let cool on a wire rack. Serve with jam and cream.
