Potato Gratin With Leeks And Bacon - cooking recipe

2 lb new potatoes
2 tbsp butter
2 None leeks, sliced
4 oz bacon, cut into strips
4 None eggs
2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
2/3 cup milk
1 cup mature cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation

Cook the potatoes in boiling water for about 20 mins. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan and saute the leeks and bacon for about 5 mins. In a bowl, beat the eggs, cream, and milk together. Season to taste.
Preheat the oven to 325\u00b0F. Slice the potatoes and spread one third of the slices on the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Spread half of the leek and bacon mixture on top followed by another layer of potatoes, more leek and bacon, and a final layer of potatoes. Pour the egg mixture over the gratin and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake for about 45 mins, until the egg has set and the top is golden brown.
