Deep-Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 None egg, lightly beaten
1 1/2 cups dried breadcrumbs
2 large white onions, thickly sliced, separated into rings
None None Vegetable oil, for deep-frying
None None FOR THE SWEET CHILI DIPPING SAUCE
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
2 tbsp heavy cream
Preparation

Whisk flour, cornstarch, egg and 3/4 cup water in a large bowl until smooth. Place breadcrumbs in a separate bowl.
Dip onion rings, one at a time, in batter, then in breadcrumbs to coat. Place, in single layer, on a baking pan.
Fill a large saucepan or deep fryer one-third full with vegetable oil; heat to 350\u00b0C (or until a cube of bread turns golden in 10 seconds). Deep-fry onion rings, in batches, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Meanwhile, for the chili dipping sauce, combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Serve with hot onion rings.
