Golden Pineapple Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups brown rice, uncooked
    2 teaspoons vegetable oil
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 1/2 teaspoons grated ginger
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 1/2 cups water
    1 (12 ounce) can of sweet pineapple chunks, drained
    1/4 cup minced fresh cilantro
    1/2 cup toasted almond
Preparation
    Saute oil, garlic, ginger, turmeric, salt and rice for about two minutes.
    Stir to prevent sticking.
    Add water and bring to a boil.
    Once the water boils simmer for 45 minutes until all the water is absorbed.
    Stir in pineapple, cilantro and slivered almonds.
