Sausage, Lentil, And Barley Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb Polish sausage (kielbasa)
3/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 (16 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
4 cups beef broth (I use beef bouillon and water)
1/4 cup uncooked barley (not quick cooking kind)
1/2 cup uncooked lentils
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups diced potatoes
1 cup sliced carrot
Preparation

In large pot, cook sausage and onions until onions are soft.
Add all other ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer soup, covered, about an hour or until potatoes and carrots are tender.
