Cardinal Casserole For The Birds - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup cornmeal
    1 cup oatmeal
    1/2 cup bacon grease (or Crisco)
    1 cup flour
    3 tablespoons powdered milk
    1/2 cup breadcrumbs
    1 cup water
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients in order listed and mix well.
    Bake in a 1-pound coffee can for 1 hour at 350 degrees; you can also bake it in pot-pie tins so the portions will fit into your suet feeders.
