Waldorf Astoria Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup milk
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 cup margarine
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine milk and flour in saucepan; mix well.
    Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Cool.
    Cream remaining ingredients in bowl till light and fluffy.
    Add milk mixture. Beat until fluffy.
    Frost cooled cake.
    Enough frosting for 2 layers.
