Eastern North Carolina Basic Barbecue Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 quarts apple cider vinegar
    2 ounces crushed hot red peppers
    2 tablespoons salt
    1 tablespoon black pepper
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients well. Use to baste pig while barbecuing and to season chopped barbecue with. You can store this in an airtight container without refrigeration for several days.
