Gingersnap Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups flour
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 large egg
    3 tablespoons light molasses
    3/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon ginger
    1/4 teaspoon clove
Preparation
    Blend together ingredients until dough forms.
    Press into bottom of greased 9x13\" pan.
    Brush with water.
    Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 F for 20-30 minutes.
    Cool and cut into squares.
