Mary'S German Chocolate Cake Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup evaporated milk
    1 cup sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/2 cup margarine or 1/2 cup butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup nuts, chopped
    1 1/3 cups coconut
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients (except nuts and coconut) in a medium saucepan over medium heat until thickened, approximately 12 minutes.
    Add nuts and coconut. Beat with a spoon till both are coated.
    Cool and frost the cake.
