Hearty Hash Brown Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lbs frozen hash brown potatoes
    1 large onion
    3/4 cup celery, diced
    4 cups water
    4 chicken bouillon cubes
    1/2 teaspoon celery seed
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    4 (10 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
    4 cups milk
    2 cups ham, fully cooked and diced
    1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
    1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    In a soup kettle or Dutch oven combine the first 7 ingredients. Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
    Mash vegetables with cooking liquid
    Add soup and milk, stir until smooth.
    Add ham, parsley and garlic salt. Simmer for 10 minutes or until heated through.
    Garnish with bacon.
