Party Franks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup chopped onion
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    1 cup ketchup
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
    2 tablespoons honey
    2 teaspoons ground mustard
    2 teaspoons paprika
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/8 teaspoon hot sauce
    1 large lemon, sliced
    3 lbs cocktail franks or 3 lbs smoked link sausage
Preparation
    Heat oil in a large saucepan; add onion and saute until tender.
    Add the next 11 ingredients and stir until well mixed.
    Add lemon slices.
    Bring mixture to a boil.
    Lower heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
    Take out lemon slices and discard.
    Place hot dogs in a 13x9 inch baking dish.
    Top with sauce.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes or until heated through.
    Serve warm with tooth picks.
