Iced Pumpkin Cookies - cooking recipe

Cookies
2 cups shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups pumpkin
5 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Icing
6 tablespoons brown sugar
6 tablespoons milk
1 lb powdered sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F.
Combine all cookie ingredients, mixing well.
Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until they test done to the poke test.
While the first batch is baking, combine the icing ingredients and mix well.
As each batch comes out, let rest for a few minutes until set and then move to a drying rack.
Ice while still warm.
