Toffee Bars With Coconut And Almonds - cooking recipe

Crust
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup sifted flour
Topping
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup chopped almonds
Preparation

Mix crust ingredients thoroughly.
Press into bottom of ungreased 9x13 inch pan.
Bake 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Topping: Stir eggs into brown sugar and vanilla.
Mix flour, baking powder and salt and stir into egg mixture.
Mix in coconut and nuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes until topping is golden brown.
Cool, cut into bars.
