Sausage & Beans With Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 cup chopped onion
    1/2 cup chopped red pepper
    1 teaspoon minced garlic
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 lb smoked sausage, cut into 1/4 inch slices (Kielbasa)
    16 ounces kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    16 ounces great northern beans, rinsed and drained
    1 cup instant brown rice
    1 cup vegetable broth
    1/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup ketchup
    3 tablespoons corn syrup
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Preparation
    In a large skillet, saute the onion, green or red pepper and garlic in oil onion is crisp tender.
    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
    Pour into a greased 13x9 baking pan.
    Cover and bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
    Uncover; bake 10-15 minutes longer or until liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
