Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 ounces breakfast sausage links
    6 English muffins, cut into 1-inch cubes
    1/4 cup butter, melted
    1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
    1/2 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup red pepper, chopped
    12 eggs
    2 cups milk
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 cup bacon bits
Preparation
    Cook sausage and cut into 1/4\" slices.
    Place English muffin pieces into a greased 9 x 13 baking dish.
    Drizzle melted butter over muffin pieces.
    Layer sausage, cheese, onion and red pepper on the muffins.
    In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, salt and pepper and pour over the cheese mix.
    Sprinkle bacon bits on top of everything, cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Remove from refrigerator and let it sit for 30 minutes prior to baking.
    Uncover and bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
    Let stand 5 minutes and then serve.
