Spicy Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup cornmeal
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    4 tablespoons sugar
    4 tablespoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup milk
    1/4 cup vegetable oil or 1/4 cup bacon grease, if desired
    1/2 finely chopped onion
    1/2 cup finely chopped jalapeno pepper
    1 cup cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix all Ingredients together in a bowl till smooth.
    Pour in a greased 8x8 or 9x9 pan (square) at 425\u00b0F for 20-25 minutes.
