Banana Oat Cookie Bars - cooking recipe

2 tablespoons butter (melted)
3/4 cup shortening
1 egg
3 bananas
1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 3/4 cups oats
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F.
Grease an 8x9 (for thicker bars), or a 13x9x2 (for thinner bars) pan.
Slice up bananas (makes it easier to mix).
Mix butter, shortening, egg, and bananas until creamy.
In a separate bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
Slowly add the dry mix to the creamy mix until blended.
Mix in the oats.
Pour mix into pan.
Bake 10 minutes.
