Congo Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
1 lb light brown sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounces chocolate or 12 ounces carob chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.
Remove from heat and stir in sugar.
Stir in eggs, one at a time.
Stir in sifted dry ingredients.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Bake in greased bar pan in 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
When cool, cut into bars.
