Paw Paw'S Texas Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups sugar
    1 cup light corn syrup
    1 cup water
    3 tablespoons butter
    4 cups pecans
    1 pinch salt
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 tablespoons vanilla
Preparation
    Bring the first 3 ingredients to 260\u00b0F.
    When temperature reaches 280\u00b0F add remaining ingredients.
    Add the baking soda last.
    Pour onto greased cookie sheet to cool.
