Low Sodium Beef Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 quart water
    1 lb 96% lean ground beef
    46 ounces low-sodium tomato juice
    1 cup dry lentils
    2 cups green cabbage
    1 cup carrot
    1 cup celery rib
    1 cup yellow onion
    1/2 cup green pepper slices
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    1/2 teaspoon ground thyme
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Brown beef.
    Shred cabbage, slice carrots, celery ribs, and chop yellow onions.
    Add all ingredients into a large stock pot.
    Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hr or until lentils and vegetables are tender.
    Remove bay leaf before serving.
