German Peppernuts (Pfeffernusse) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    3/4 cup sugar
    3 1/4 cups flour
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon clove
    1/2 teaspoon allspice
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    2 tablespoons melted butter
    1/4 cup honey
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Beat sugar with eggs for 15 minutes.
    Sift dry ingredients together, and stir into egg-sugar mixture.
    Mix in butter and honey and knead briefly.
    Roll dough into 1/2-inch-diameter snakes. Cut into 1/2-inch segments with floured paring knife. Arrange 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 10-15 minutes.
    Cool and store in airtight container in cool place.
