Easy Shrimp Parmesan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 tablespoon onion, minced
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/4 teaspoon white pepper
    1 1/2 cups whipping cream
    3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, grated
    3 tablespoons ketchup
    1 lb large shrimp, peeled deveined and cooked
    1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced (or to taste)
    hot cooked rice or pasta
Preparation
    In a medium saucepan, cook onion in hot butter until tender. Add garlic, salt, red pepper and white pepper. Stir in whipping cream, Parmesan cheese, and catsup.
    Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes or until sauce thickens. Stir in cooked shrimp and snipped basil.
    Serve shrimp mixture over hot cooked rice or pasta.
