Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Mix sugar, milk, and butter in a large saucepan.
Bring to a full rolling boil. Boil for 90 seconds.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Place in a pan of cold water and using an electric mixer, beat until a thick spreading consistency.
