Nadia'S Indian Restaurant Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    Salad
    1 large carrot, sliced
    1/2 apple, cubed
    1/2 pear, cubed
    1/2 red bell pepper, diced
    1/2 stalk celery, sliced
    1/4 English cucumber, cubed
    1/4 red onion, sliced
    1/4 cup mango, cubed
    1/4 cup cantaloupe, cubed
    1/4 cup grapes, sliced
    Dressing
    1/2 cup sugar
    3/4 cup vinegar
    1/3 cup salad oil
    1 - 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
    Combine oil, vinegar and sugar in a microwavable bowl and heat at 50% power until the sugar has dissolved. Whisk in the salt and pepper.
    Pour the dressing over the prepared fruit and vegetables. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
    Mix well just prior to serving. Remove salad with slotted spoon and serve drizzled with marinade.
