Caribbean Bean Burgers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 ounce) can great northern beans, rinsed & drained
    1 cup plain breadcrumbs
    1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3 tablespoons skim milk or 3 tablespoons soymilk
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 teaspoon jamaican jerk seasoning
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    nonstick cooking spray
    4 hamburger buns, whole wheat
    red onion, slices (4)
    tomatoes, slices cut thick (4)
Preparation
    Mash beans with a fork until smooth. Stir in bread crumbs, chopped onion, egg, milk, minced garlic, jerk seasoning, and salt; mix well. Shape into 4 patties.
    Heat a skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray. Cook patties until browned, turning once, about 8 minutes total.
    Serve on buns, topped with tomato and onion, and any other condiments of you like.
