Nancy'S Crispix Treat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (12 1/2 ounce) package Crispix cereal
    4 cups pecans
    1/4 lb butter (1 stick)
    1 cup light brown sugar
    1 cup light Karo syrup
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Spray two 9x13\" pans or cookie sheets with sides. Put 1/2 of Crispix and nuts in each pan and be sure they are mixed.
    Melt butter, add syrup and sugar and bring to a boil. Drizzle syrup over cereal and nuts dividing it equally between the pans.
    Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring carefully every 15 minutes.
    Put on sprayed foil when done and allow to cool slightly. Break into chunks while warm. Store in a closed container.
