Top-Stove Short Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lbs beef short ribs
    1/4 cup flour
    2 tablespoons shortening
    1 (10 ounce) can condensed beef broth
    1 cup dried apricot
    2 tablespoons brown sugar
    2 tablespoons vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon allspice
    1/4 teaspoon clove
Preparation
    Dust ribs with flour; brown in shortening in a large, heavy pan. Pour off excess drippings. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover. Cook over low heat about 2 1/2 hours or until tender, turning ribs and basting with sauce occasionally.
