Ingredients

125 g granny smith apples, chopped
125 g fresh breadcrumbs
125 g butter
125 g currants
60 g candied citrus peel
150 g caster sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg
4 eggs
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Grease a pudding basin with butter put in the mixture.
Seal with lid and steam for 2 hours. Serve with sweet wine sauce or custard.
