Kidney Beans And Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can cajun-style stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups cooked long grain rice
Preparation

In a skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic until meat is browned; drain.
Stir in the beans, tomatoes, and seasonings.
Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add rice; cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Discard bay leaf.
Serve.
