Hot Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb bacon (save 1/3 cup drippings)
    1/3 cup vinegar, plus
    water, to make 1/2 cup
    1 slightly beaten egg
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    5 cups diced cooked potatoes
    1/2 cup chopped onion
Preparation
    Cook bacon crisp: crumble.
    Combine 1/3 cup bacon drippings with Vinegar/water, egg, sugar, salt, and pepper.
    Heat and stir till thickened.
    Add potatoes, onio and bacon: toss, heat through.
