Mothers Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups sweetened applesauce
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add beaten eggs.
Add applesauce and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda, salt , cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
Add to applesauce mixture.
Put into a greased 9x13 pan.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes at 350.
