Colonial Maple Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

CAKE
1 (18 ounce) box white cake mix
1 cup water
1/3 cup oil
3 eggs
2 teaspoons maple extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts
GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons butter, softened
2 teaspoons milk, more as needed
1/4 teaspoon maple extract
Preparation

Heat oven to 350F degrees.
Grease and flour 12-cup fluted pan.
In large bowl combine all cake ingredients EXCEPT nuts.
Blend at low speed until moistened, then at high for 2 minutes.
Fold in nuts.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
Cool in pan, then turn onto plate.
Blend glaze ingredients until smooth.
Spoon over cooled cake.
