Waffle Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups milk
    1/4 - 1/3 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    1 egg (or two egg yolks)
    1/8 teaspoon salt
    1/2 - 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    Whisk all ingredients together in a saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture just comes to a boil.
    Serve over waffles topped with stewed or sugared fruit (try blueberries, strawberries, peaches, or anything you like).
