Ingredients

1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 pinch baking soda
1 pinch salt
4 cups fresh fruit or 4 cups frozen fruit, unthawed
Preparation

Melt margarine in 9x13 baking pan or other deep dish casserole.
Combine all remaining ingredients and pour over melted margarine.
Distribute fruit over top of batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
