Mardi Gras Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 -3 teaspoons italian seasoning
salt and pepper
3 cups cooked elbow macaroni
Preparation

In a large pan, brown ground beef; drain and return to pan.
Set aside.
In a small skillet, saute' onion, green pepper, and garlic.
Add this to the ground beef; mix well.
Add tomato sauce and stewed tomatoes; mix well.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
Add cooked elbow macaroni; stir well.
Simmer for 45 minutes with lid cracked; stirring occasionally.
(You can also place this mixture in a casserole cover with cheese (of your choice) and bake at 350 degrees F. for 25 to 30 minutes).
