Homemade Ketchup With Carrot (Deceptively Delicious) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 ounce) can tomato puree
    1/2 cup carrot puree (baby food is quick and easy)
    1/4 cup water
    2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
    1/4 teaspoon chili powder (to taste)
Preparation
    Stir all the ingredients together in a big saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
    Reduce the heat and simmer until the mixture has reduced by about half, 10-20 minutes.
    Let cool before serving.
    Refrigerate in an airtight container for up to five days or freeze in 1/4-cup amounts in zipper-lock snack bags for up to three months.
