Refresco De Pina - Pineapple Cooler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 ripe pineapple, peeled
    1 quart water
    1/2 cup sugar (or more)
Preparation
    Chop pineapple into small bits or cut into chunks and blend for a moment in a blender.
    In a glass container, add the pineapple to one quart of water in which half of the sugar has been dissolved.
    Allow to steep for 2 to 3 hours.
    Strain and add additional sugar to personal taste.
    Chill and serve.
    Makes 4 to 5 cups.
