Basic Croquette Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
5 tablespoons sifted flour
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon finely minced onion
Preparation

Melt the butter, then stir in the flour and rub hard with a wooden spoon to make a smooth paste. Stirring constantly, gradually add remaiing ingredients. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until sauce is very thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
