Plum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lbs plums
    1 1/2 lbs sugar
    1 teaspoon clove, ground
    1 teaspoon ginger, ground
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
    2 pints vinegar
    2 ounces garlic
Preparation
    Boil all for 2 hours, Skim off stones. Put through a sieve and pour into air tight bottles or jars.
