Scalloped Potatoes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 -8 large potatoes, Peeled and sliced thin
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
10 -12 saltine crackers, crushed
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, cut into chunk
salt
pepper
4 cups whole milk
4 slices raw bacon
Preparation

In a Casserole Dish Layer the ingredients, using some of each ingredient except the milk and bacon,. Repeat these steps until your dish is full to within 1 inch of the top. Once full Pour Milk over all until just covering the potatoes. Place bacon strips across the top of the potatoes.
Place on Middle oven rack and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Place a pan or foil on the bottom of the oven in case of boil over.
Let stand for 10 minutes before serving to allow potatoes to thicken a little more before serving.
