Hearty Lentil & Ham Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups lentils
    2 cups ham, diced small
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 bay leaf
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes
    1/2 teaspoon oregano
    1 cup carrot, diced
    8 -10 cups water
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in large stock pot.
    Simmer 2-3 hours.
    Remove bay leaf.
    Serve.
