Rich Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup shortening
    1 1/4 cups brown sugar
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 tablespoons boiling water
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract
    2 cups flour, sifted
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups rolled oats
    3/4 cup coconut
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening.
    Blend in brown sugar. Add baking soda dissolved in boiling water, vanilla, and lemon extract.
    Add gradually, sifted flour, salt and coconut. Work in 2 cups rolled oats.
    Form dough into small balls. Place on greased baking sheet. Press flat with floured fork.
    Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
