Lentils And Kielbasa - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb dry lentils
    1 onion, chopped
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 teaspoon fresh thyme
    2 (14 ounce) cans beef broth
    3 cups water
    1 carrot, chopped
    1 celery rib, chopped
    2 lbs kielbasa, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
    1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained
    3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Rinse and drain lentils, but do not soak. In a slow cooker, stir together the lentils, onion, garlic, thyme, broth, water, carrot, sausage, and celery. Cover, and cook on High for 3 hours, or Low for 6 to 7 hours.
    Add the tomatoes when there is 1 hour remaining.
    Stir well before serving. Top each serving with 1 tbsp Parmigiano.
