Green Tomato Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 quarts green tomatoes
    3 lbs brown sugar
    3 -4 large onions
    3 sweet red peppers
    1/2 teaspoon allspice
    1/2 teaspoon clove
    1/2 teaspoon ginger
    1/2 teaspoon mace
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 cup molasses
    malt vinegar
Preparation
    Process onions and tomatoes and peppers till desired fineness.
    We prefer it chunky.
    Cover with pickling salt,and let stand overnight.
    Drain well.
    Cover with cold water and bring to a boil.
    Drain.
    Return to pot and nearly cover with malt vinegar.
    Cook till tender.
    Put spices in a bag,add sugar and molasses.
    Finish cooking till thick and tender.
    Watch carefully as not to burn.
    Bottle as usual.
