Blueberry Johnny Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 cups stone-ground yellow cornmeal
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups milk
2 cups fresh blueberries
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat until light in color.
Combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk, stirring until just combined.
Fold in blueberries which have been lightly dusted with flour.
Pour into buttered and floured 9x13 inch baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Cool in pan on wire rack.
When cool, cut into squares.
