Whiskey Sirloin Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 cup whiskey or 1/4 cup apple cider
    1/4 cup soy sauce
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 garlic clove, sliced thin
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1 top sirloin steaks or 1 rib eye steak
Preparation
    In a large container, combine all ingredients except the steak, and mix.
    Add the steak and turn to coat.
    Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
    Drain and discard the marinade.
    Place steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray.
    Broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat for 7 to 9 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness.
    (For medium rare, a meat thermometer should read 145).
